About Me

I’m an INTJ artist from Atlanta, GA. I’m the artist of the “Viscera” comic book series.

I’ve worked in comics all my adult life. There isn’t much more to know about me. Brian Bolland called this “a profession chosen by a child for an adult”…Which pretty much sums it up!

I call this blog “NAM 2.0” because it represents my post-40 years old personal and artistic relaunch. If the superheroes can do it, so can I! I’m starting myself over at issue number one!

My current “official” bio reads like this:

Nathan Massengill is the writer, artist, and publisher of Viscera. His credits cover millions of books-in-print (including several NY Times best-selling graphic novels). He has collaborated with innumerable creators, including writer/director/producers Joss Whedon, Christopher Nolan, and Jeph Loeb. His comics collaborators also include Stan Lee, Jim Shooter, Geoff Johns, Joe Kelly, Ed McGuinness and Alex Ross. He has won both the Eisner and the Harvey awards. Viscera is his first creator-owned series.

For those of you wondering why you do not see more of my work:
